Mutton chops


Ingredients

Mutton chops                      500 gms
Coconut grated                   ¼ cup
Ginger                               2 inches
Garlic                                10 flakes
Cardamom                                 2
Pepper                               2tsps
Cloves                               3
Cinnamon                           1 stick
Cumin seeds                       1 ½tsp
Onions                               150gms
Tomatoes                           100gms
Turmeric powder                 1/4tsp
Green chillies                      2
Curry leaves                       one sprig
Oil
Salt                                   to taste

Method

·         Grind together grated coconut, ginger, garlic, pepper, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon into paste.

·         Cook mutton chops with tomatoes, turmeric powder for fifteen minutes. Keep aside the stock.

·         In a cooking pan, heat oil, add curry leaves, green chillies and chopped onions. Fry till the onions become brown.

·         Add ground paste, the stock water and salt. Cook till the stock evaporates and oil separates. Stir constantly.

·         Add chops, stir and fry for about five minutes.
